  Friends' Intelligencer: Volume 64 January 1, 1907 p 798 DEATHS POWNALL.---At her home, Christiana, Pa., Twelfth month, 1st, 1907, Deborah Gest, widow of Levi Pownall, in the 82nd year of her age. p 799 DEBORAH G. POWNALL. There is something beautiful and uplifting in the thought that our life here ought to be and may be "a walk with God." A long and very intimate acquaintance with Deborah G. Pownall, is my excuse for saying that I believe her life was a "walk with God." She had a clear perception of the good and the bad in the character of others; but was always clear from detraction, never wanting in that charity which rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. She belonged to a generation which has almost passed away; but the good influence of such a life cannot be estimated; it remains in the world. S.
