Paul W. Ohlinger Jr., 60, of Lakeland, Florida, died at 12:20 p.m., Saturday, April 8th, 2017, at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Winter Haven, Florida.
The motorcycle accident occurred about midnight March 31st; he was not wearing a helmet.
Paul passed peacefully surrounded by family.
Paul was born August 9, 1956, in West Reading, Pa.; he was the son of the late Paul and Arlene Ohlinger.
He was a long haul truck driver for many years. He loved driving truck and going cross country.
Paul was always up for an adventure and enjoyed many unique life experiences. He looked tough on the outside, but had a heart of gold. Paul's sense of humor, handyman skills and card playing will be greatly missed.
He is survived by three sisters: Linda Brown, Honolulu, Hawaii, Susan Hurst (wife of Dale Hurst) Sinking Spring, Pa., and Lori Balthaser (wife of Glenn Balthaser) Mohrsville, Pa.
He is survived by a son, Paul W. Ohlinger III, Hainesville, Kansas (husband of Hope Ohlinger) and two granddaughters, Kyla and Madison. He is also survived by four nieces: Lyndell Shunk, Honolulu, Hawaii, Melissa Barber, Pottstown, Pa., Andrea Hoffman, Wernersville, Pa., and Jillian Baer, Mohrsville, Pa.; and ten great-nieces and nephews.
