  Herbert P. Dickinson, 85, 611 Monroe St., died Friday Dec 11, 1992 at his home. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 15 at New Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tom Parrott officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church or Muscatine Hospice Organization. Mr. Dickinson was born Sept 1, 1907 at Tipton, a son of Sheldon Dickinson and Johannah Schilling. He married Dorothy Templeman on Jan. 31, 1930 in Des Moines. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He served 18 years on the Care Review Commission of the Muscatine Care Facility, and served on Voluntary Action's Meals on Wheels. Mr. Dickinson worked in the gas division at Iowa Electric Light & Power Co. for 43 years, retiring in 1972. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
