Went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Barnswallow Place Care Community, surrounded by family, at the age of 102 years.
Cherished mother of Reta Cressman of Edmonton, AB, Richard and Gracinha Sauder of Elmira, Arlene and Curtis Collins of Kitchener, and Pauline Hill of Campbellford. Beloved grandmother of Wayne and Rochelle Cressman; Krista and Jim MacDougall; Anthony Sauder, Renata Sauder (Clayton Cauchy); Jennifer and Matt Brodie, Kimberly Collins; Darren and Cori Hill, Craig and Barb Hill, Rachel and Mike Greiner; and great-grandmother of Hannah, Charlotte; Kyle, Dylan, Branden; Marissa; Mitchell, Cassandra; Benjamin and Evelyn. Will be fondly remembered by daughter-in-law Ruthann Sauder, many nieces, nephews and their families.
Predeceased by her husband Noah Sauder (1970), parents Solomon and Mary Ann (Martin) Lichty, children Ruby in infancy and Ronald, son-in-laws Raymond Cressman and David Hill, and her ten siblings.
Hannah was the last surviving member of her family.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, 1310 King St. N., St. Jacobs, with interment to follow in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery. Please call the funeral home at 519-669-2207 to register your attendance for both the visitation/service, masks are mandatory, social distancing in effect.
The funeral service will be livestreamed and will be available on Hannah's tribute page of the funeral home website. Special thank you to the staff at Chartwell Elmira, and Barnswallow Place for their compassionate care.
