- Edna Rebecca (Martin) Hackman, 93, of Cornwall, formerly of Cocalico, passed away on Saturday, November 30, at Cornwall Manor.
She was born in Lititz to the late Harry and Nora (Wolf) Martin and was the wife of the late Harry N. Hackman, who passed away September of 1998.
She was a member of St. Paul's UCC (Millbach) in Newsmanstown. Edna and her husband, Harry, were well known for their sweet potato farm in Cocalico. She enjoyed working on their farm, making quilts, sewing, gardening and preserving foods.
Edna is survived by son, Leon, husband of Anna (Weidman) Hackman of Newmanstown; daughter, Josephine, wife of Richard Heilinger of Newmanstown; 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Benjamin Martin of Ephrata; 2 sisters, Irene Wealand of Mt. Airy and Betty Buch of Farmersville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 grandchild; 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 6, from 9:30 to 10 am at the St. Paul's UCC (Millbach), 13 Church Rd., Newmanstown, followed by funeral services held at 10 am, with Rev. William Sherman officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
