  OBITUARY Lewis Sawyer was born in Wright township, Ottawa Co., Michigan on August 26, 1870. He was united in marriage to Etta Scott on march 26, 1902 and to this union two children were born, Amelia Hoffman, Lake, Michigan and Margaret Gingrich, Barryton, Michigan. He departed this life on June 13, 1942 at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 13 days. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife and two daughters, other relatives and a host of friends. He was a loving husband and father and was liked by all who met him. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Garrard, wee held at the Church of God, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. He was laid to rest in the Flake Cemetery, near Barryton. Parents were Benjamin Sawyer and Amelia Root.
