  Samuel Joseph Hoffee, 84, died August 24, 1961 in the Massillon city hospital, where he had been ill and a patient for 10 days. A lifelong resident of Stark County, Mr. Hoffee was a 40-year employee in the office of the Republic Steel Corp. in Massillon, and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary A. Hoffee; two daughters, Mrs. Enid Lowe of Lake Cable and Mrs. Lois Bowman, at home; four sons, Chester Hoffee of Akron, Harold Hoffee of Trenton, Mich., Gerald Hoffee of Canton and B. Serge Hoffee of Warren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lybarger of Painesville and Mrs. Grace V. Jones of Alliance; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Mrs. Katherine Baker, died in 1947.
