The Rev. James N Blatt, 86, of Old Zionsville, Lehigh County, died in Pine Acres Convalescent Home, Madison, N,J., where he had been a guest for six days. Rev, Mr Blatt served for 41 years as pastor of the Zionville Reformed Charge, including Huff's Church in Berks County, prior to his retirement in 1948. One of the outstanding achievements of his long career in the ministry was his aid in the establishment of Camp Mensch Mills, near Huff's Church. Born in Centerport, a son of the late William and Mary (Naftzinger) Blatt, he attended the Center Township schools and graduated in 1895 from Keystone State Norman School, now Kutztown State Teachers College. He completed graduate work at Ursinus College and was graduated from Franklin &Marshall College, Lancaster, in 1901. Three years later, he graduated from the Reformed Theological Seminary in Lancaster. Rev. Mr. Blatt was past master of Perkiomen Lodge No. 595 F&AM, and a member of Leigh Consistory, Scottish Rite Masons, Allentown. He is survived by three daughters: Marguerite, wife of Clarence Horn, Macungie R.D.; Mary, wife of Paul Koch, East Orange, N.J. and Mabel, wife of Peter Trump, Fanwood, N.J. and a grandson. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Zionsville United Church of Christ, Old Zionsville. Burial will be in Belleman's Church Cemetery, Mohrsville. Arrangements are in charge of the Owen Hoffman Funeral Home, East Greenville.
