  [This is a cenotaph based on a memorial erected in 1920 by the Eberly Family Association. According to their records, his mother and some of his siblings are buried at this cemetery. In any case, their names are all mentioned on the plaque.] Peter was the son of Michael Heinrich Eberly and Veronica Ulrich. Michael was the son of Michael Eberly and Anna Henderson. Michael, Sr. was the burgess (mayor) of Strassburg, Alsace, Germany. He was married to Catherine Newcomer. Peter was originally buried on the family farm in Sinking Spring Township in Berks County but it is no longer there.
