- Brother and Sister Die Within Several Weeks
Mrs. Lloyd Kisling, of Womelsdorf, Succumbs Six Hours After Husband's Removal to Reading Hospital--Remains Taken to Bernville.
Bernville, Oct. 16.--Laura (nee Katzaman), wife of Lloyd Kisling, of Womelsdorf, died in confinement, aged 22 years, 11 months and 2 days. These children survive: Helen, Verna, John and a babe of but one week. The oldest child is aged about four years. The remains were taken to the home of the grandparents., Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Kisling, this place. The husband is ill with typhoid fever and was removed to the Homeopathic Hospital, Reading, six hours before the death of his wife. He was not told of the death of his wife. The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Katzaman and these brothers and sister survive: Howard and Calvin Katzaman, of Sinking Spring; Oswald, of Richland, and Carrie, wife of Alpheus Wagner, of Bernville. Mr. and Mrs. Wagner are seriously ill with typhoid fever. A brother of the deceased, Elmer Katzaman, died of typhoid fever in the same house several weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. Kisling, although residing at Womelsdorf, were frequent visitors to the home of the deceased's brother during his illness. Deceased was an active member of Frieden's Lutheran Church, and formerly resided at this place. The family moved to Womelsdorf last spring. The husband is a lineman for the telephone company there. Funeral, Thursday, Oct. 17, at 1:30 p.m. Services in Frieden's Lutheran Church, Bernville. Rev. William Dry will officiate. Interment will be made in Bernville cemetery. Undertaker Thomas C. Kalbach has charge.
