- Clay, Stella H., 95, Cresson died January 21, 2016, at the home of her granddaughter Robin and Toby Fortney in Bellwood. Born May 23, 1920, in Coalport the daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Hemskey) Leyo.
Preceded in death by her husband Thomas V. Clay (Pilarz) on Nov. 21, 1982, sisters, Rita Leyo and Anne Novak and brother Joseph.
Survived by daughters: Barbara Caracciolo – Martinsburg; Gloria (Carl) Isenberg – Reinholds; Grandchildren, Robin & Toby, Rhonda & Gary, Paula & Randy, Paul & Barb, Ward & Ruthie, Jon & Trinka, Shannon & Judy and great grandchildren, J.B., Tyler, P.R., Alison, Lukas, Miranda and Morgan.
Last member of her immediate family. Stella worked at Publix Shirt Factory in Gallitzin. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Mary Cemetery, Gallitzin.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to St. Demetrius Catholic Church, 800 Church Street, Gallitzin, PA 16641 or Medi Home Health Agency, 341 N.
