  Cathrina Irene (Cat) Washington was born on July 11, 1959 in Salina, Kansas to Porfirio C. and the late Norma J. Torres. She is survived by her husband Dijon E. Washington, daughter Trina M. Greene (Kevin), son Christopher M. Wheeler, granddaughters Kierra D. Grillo(Michael), Jaidah E. Greene, Jasmine D. Greene, father Porfirio C. Torres Jr. (Pauline), brothers Porfirio C. "P.C." Torres III, Antonio C. "Tony" Torres (Lenore), sisters Maurina Torres-Allison, and Sabrina Torres-Feeney (John). She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her Jack Russell "Brandy". Cathrina attended LaBrae High School in Leavittsburg, OH where she was a cheerleader and a member of the school choir. She worked numerous jobs n Myrtle Beach, SC including Tommy Bahama restaurant where she was affectionately known as "Mama Cat". In her spare time she would often make crafts and volunteer numerous hours to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Pueblo, Co. She loved bowling, attending concerts, craft shows, Renaissance Festivals, spending time with family and friends, and numerous other cultural events. She was known for her beautiful smile and her love for helping others. Cathrina fought a long hard battle against Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETS), right down to her last breath. She gained her wings on 4/27/17 at Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center (Denver, CO) where she was surrounded by her loving family. Cat was loved by many and will truly be missed.
