  The Indianapolis Star (Indianapolis, Indiana) 17 Mar 1996, Sun Page D7 Sally L. Higdon had been Auditor Services for Sally L. Higdon, 67, Greenwood, former Johnson County Auditor, will be 10 a.m. March 19 in Wilson St. Pierre Greenwood Chapel, with calling from 3 to 9 p.m. March 18. She died March 15. Mrs. Higdon was a secretary for the Johnson County Sheriff's Department and served as Johnson County auditor from 1980 to 1988. She had worked in the auditor's office since 1970, and was a former correspondent for the Franklin Daily Journal. In 1994, Mrs. Higdon was honored with the Liberty Bell Award by the Johnson County Bar Association in recognition of her service. She was a member of Greenwood Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery She was the widow of Charles L. Higdon. Survivors: children Becky A. Myers, James C., Charles P., Joseph W. Higdon; 12 grandchildren.
