  Blair Sumner Passmore was born 1887 in Salem, Ohio to Susie Mary Came of Maine and Charles Sumner Passmore of Maryland/Pennsylvania (Both living in Montana). He was attending Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania where many of the Passmore's attend and live close. While attending College he Drowned on June 9, 1906. His body was sent back by rail and buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Butte, Montana. My father, Robert Blair Graham is named after him and My son Roderick Kai'anui Blair Graham is named after my father. Blair Passmore is named after the Blair family from Muirhouse, Scotland and it is carried threw his Grandmother's Maiden Name, Nancy Freeman Blair. Father of Unfortunat Young Man Leaves for the East to Meet Body ------ Blair Passmore, a popular and well- known youn man of Butte, who has been attending Swarthmore college, near Philadelphia, was drowned yes- terday while swinning in Crum creek, near the college, according to a telagram received yesterday by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Pass- more. Later the following telegram was received from Lincoln K. Pass- more, an Uncle of the boy, resinding in Phiadelphia: MESSAGE RECEIVED "Body received and being prepared by undertaker for removal; ready by Monday. All College graduation ex- ercises suspended and memorial serv- ices held this evening at college, fac- ulty and students attending. Every- thing apparently done by companions to save him and by doctors to reusci- tate, but no avail. Everybody sympa- thizes deeply." Mr Passmore left last evening for the east, expecting to meet his brother and the body of his son at St. Paul. Interment will take place here. Blair passmore was nineteen years of age. He was about to return to butte for his summer vacation when he met his untimely death. Last year he spent his vacation here, being employed by the local street car company, where he proved himself an industrious young man. This was his first year in college, although he had previously attended the institution's preparatory school. Mr. Passmore, father of the boy, is a pominent real estate and insurance man of this city.
