  Obituary- Greenup Press Emma Catherine Peters Winslow , daughter of Charles and Margaret Peters, was born in Greenup , Illinois on October 9,1862 and departed from this life on February 17, 1932, aged 69 years, 4 months and 8 days. The last three months of her life were spent in the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.E. (Kenova) Reynolds in Effingham. She was united in marriage to Mr. H.M. Winslow on December 25, 1881. Together they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Christmas Day 1981, in the presence of their three daughters and their families. To this union were born eight children, five whom preceded her to the great beyond. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and three daughters, Mrs. Winnie Whitteker of Greenup, Illinois, Mrs. Gertrude Adams of Dubuque, Iowa, and Mrs. Kenova Reynolds of Effingham, Illinois; four grandsons, Rex Reynolds, Bobby Reynolds, Morris Whitteker and Charles Whitteker and two granddaughters, Mrs. Roberta Adams Willhoft Dubuque, Iowa and Mary Whitteker ;two sisters Mrs. Mary Lemen and Mrs. J.W. Van Dyke and one brother Mr. Otis Peters, besides numerous relatives and friends. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Greenup and a faithful worker in Ladies Aid and Sabbath School. She was an old member of Zeta Rebekah Lodge of Greenup and was a faithful attendant until the past year during which time her health did not permit her to go out. Although she suffered much pain during her illness, she wore a cheerful smile for her loved ones and gave each friend a pleasant greeting. Her soul has passed on but her memory will live forever in the heart's of her husband, her children and her friends.
