Friends here received word Saturday morning that Gayle Stonebarger, former local girl, now living at Tulsa, Okla., had received fatal injuries in an automobile accident at Tulsa Friday evening and had passed away early Saturday morning. Her sister, Mrs. DeLain Bayouth received serious injuries in the same accident.
Her body was brought to Lone Tree Sunday evening to the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Lucy Stonebarger, and funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Reformed church. The Rev. Marcus L. Bach conducted the service. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. H. C. Buell, Mrs. W. H. Yakish, E. C. Green, and W. H. Yakish, with Mrs. M. L. Bach as accompanist. Pallbearers were Harris Buell, Elmer Yakish, Dana and John Musser, Raymond Griebel and Marion Brolsma. Flowers were in charge of Jean Musser, Geraldine Doerres and Lorene Krotz.
Interment was in the Lone Tree Cemetery.

Thorpe and Bruce Rodgers, of Tulsa Okla.; Mrs. Edith Moberly, Lewis, Clarence, Leonard and Raymond and Martin Nunnally, of Riverside; Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Smith and Mrs. Iola Lewis of Burlington; Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Moberly and son Howard of Haskins; Mr. and Mrs. B. Wiltrout and daughter, and Mrs. Lela Clark of Muscatine; Mr. and Mrs. Pete Balou, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Clark, Mrs. Melo Vacha, of Washington; Mr. Chambers and Mrs. Schabilion of Columbus City; Mr. and Mrs. John Rath of Ainsworth; Richard Murphey and Miss Barnes of Iowa City; and Miss Pearle Moberly of Washington.
Gayle DeLois Stonebarger, eldest daughter of Layton and Mary Stonebarger, was born at Lone Tree on January 9, 1916 and passed away at Tulsa, Oklahoma June 15, 1935 having reached an age of 19 years, 5 months, 6 days. Her early passing was the result of an automobile accident which occurred on the previous evening and which also caused serious injuries to her sister, Mrs. DeLain Bayouth.
The family had moved to Tulsa in 1924 and in 1933 Gayle graduated from Tulsa high school. Since that time she had been employed in a store in the city. As an infant she was baptized in the United Brethren church and in this denomination she retained her membership.
Her father preceded her in death in December, 1913.
She leaves to mourn her premature departure, her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Hudnall; two sister, Mrs. DeLain Bayouth and Mrs. Vesta Thorpe, all of Tulsa; four stepsisters, Mrs. Vera Clark of Tacoma, Washington, Mrs. Lela Clark of Muscatine, Miss Verna and Miss Dolsa Hudnall of Tulsa; her grandmother, Mrs. Lucy Stonebarger of Lone Tree; Mrs. Edith Moberly of Riverside; other relatives and many friends.
