  Jesse Brand Gehris - 73, of Hatfield, PA passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at his residence. He was the companion of Valentin Figueora, Jr. for 41 years. Jesse was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Russell Roland Gehris and the late Beulah Irene (Wasser) Gehris. He graduated from Souderton High School, class of 1958. Jesse served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966 where he was stationed in Germany. He graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in Engineering. Jesse also graduated from Delaware Valley Community College with a minor in Business. He was employed as a Hydraulics Engineer for the former Lexico Corporation for 25 years. Jesse was an accomplished artist, enjoyed traveling both nationally and internationally. He loved dining out and entertaining guests at his house. Jesse enjoyed having breakfast at Towne Restaurant every morning with his companion. He loved architecture and enjoyed building and designing his own home. Jesse was a former member of New Goshenhoppen Reformed Church, of East Greenville,PA.. In addition to his companion, he is survived by his brother, Russell Gehris, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Houston, TX & his two nephews, David Gehris and Michael Gehris. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 where friends may meet with the family from 10:30 am – 12:00 Noon.. Inurnment will take place at Old Goshenhoppen Cemetery at a later date and time.
