- Grace H. (Hackman) Hinkle, 93, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Sellersville, PA passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Souderton Mennonite Homes, where she resided since 2003.
She was the loving wife of the late Clifford H. Hinkle for 65 years. Grace was born in Franconia, Pennsylvania to the late Abraham Hackman and the late Cora (Keeler) Hackman.
She was employed as a sewing machine operator for the former Standard Terry Mill in Souderton. Grace was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked part-time as a housecleaner for a local doctor's private residence in Lansdale.
Grace was a member of the former St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Dublin. She was a current member of Souderton Mennonite Homes Fellowship.
Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. Grace loved her plants, flowers, and cooking. She enjoyed taking afternoon walks, watching TV shows, and wintering in Sarasota, Florida with her husband. Grace also enjoyed reading books, word search puzzles, shopping, dining out, and playing cards and board games.
She was a caring, sweet, loving woman who had a good sense of humor and a great giggle.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Debbie K. Seidel & companion, Jeffrey Zahles of Doylestown, PA; her three grandchildren, Jacqueline K. Seidel-Scandlin & husband, Jeremy of Perkasie, PA, Carissa A. Seidel of Sinking Springs, PA, Robert J. Hinkle of Souderton, PA; her four great-grandchildren – Jason, Olivia, Keira, & Jaxson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey S. Hinkle; her four brothers, Clarence, Norman, William, & John Yoder; and her sister, Kathryn Lewis.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit Street, Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at St. Luke's Union Cemetery in Dublin, PA.
