- 7 Feb 1973: Mabel Adelia Fake, 69, 451 N. Maple St., Ephrata, died in the Ephrata Community Hospital Monday at 10 p.m. after a three-month illness. She was the widow of Dr. Warren H. Fake, who died Nov. 3, 1972. Born in Union Township, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Adelia Klinger Long. Formerly a resident of Lebanon County, she had resided in Ephrata for the last 44 years. Mrs. Fake was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ephrata, and was a director of Dutchmaid Inc., Ephrata. She was president of Guymar lnc., Honeybrook. She was a member of Cloister Chapter 406, Order of the Eastern Star, Ephrata; the Alta Shrine No. 38, Lancaster; the Ephrata Woman's Club; the Cloister Flower Club, Ephrata; Ephrata Community Hospital Auxiliary and the Cloister Post 429, American Legion Auxiliary, Ephrata. Surviving are four daughters: Margaret A., wife of Guy Enck, Honeybrook; Elaine G., wife of Lloyd R. Hackman, Akron; Joan E., wife of Melvin R. Sweigart, Ephrata, and Tess M., wife of Leon I. Wolf, Ephrata; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary E., wife of Clinton W. Minnich, Pine Grove, and Eva M., wife of Ellsworth Kauffman, Ephrata. [Lebanon Daily News]
