  Simon Bressler was baptized on 29 January 1722 in Niederhochstadt, Palatinate [Germany], a son of Johann Georg Bressler and Eva Magdalena Bach. His baptismal sponsors were Georg Simon Stutz and Anna Catharina Bauer. He was confirmed on Pentecost in 1737 as Georg Simon Breßler. He was known as "Simon". He arrived in Philadelphia on the ship Lydia and signed the declaration of oath on 9 October 1749. Shortly thereafter, he removed to Tulpehocken, Berks County, Pennsylvania. On 8 October 1764, he paid £44 13s 6d for the passage of Bressler relatives from Palatinate [Germany] to Philadelphia on the ship King of Prussia. He was warranted over 210 acres of land in Pine Grove, Berks County (present-day Schuylkill County), Pennsylvania on 11 March 1767. Farmer, with 300 acres of land in Pine Grove in 1789. Simon Bressler (Presler) died on 12 November 1802 and he was buried on 14 November 1802. His age in the burial register was listed as 81 years, 7 months and 10 days, which (if correct) would place his birth date as 2 April 1721.
