From FAG Member #48509020:
My research so far has not pointed to the maiden name of Ann, mother of Hannah, but I have determined that she was not Anne Craycroft. Anne Craycroft arrived in Maryland in 1665 as an unwed woman. Since I haven't researched this Anne beyond determining she didn't belong to my line, I can only speculate she married another James Sessions, which is where the confusion would come in. The Anne who was Hannah's mother married James Sessions II before 1660 in Witney, Oxfordshire, England. All 4 children (Sara, John, Hannah, and Ann) were born in/near Witney, as noted in the Friends Monthly Meeting register of that town. (James II's parents were Michael (son of James 1) and Elizabeth Lowe, info from parish registers of Witney). The family arrived in Philadelphis abt. 1682. This is also born out by the Friends register of both Witney and Philadelphia. James II died in Philadelphia in 1689, and his wife Anne, survived him, holding the estate. I do not have information on her death yet. There is also misinformation on Ancestry.com matching James II up to a woman named Dorothay. There was a Dorothy, married to a James Sessions in Witney, but they were of an older generation and not in the direct line of our James (as far as I can tell). I'm hoping you can add this information to Hannah's page to prevent further confusion down the road.
