• Notes

  John Henry LAPE died @ Age 73. The s/o John Lape and Sarah Ann Kalbough Lape, he was a Civil War Veteran having served in Co. "F", 200th Penna Inf Reg't. After the war he relocated to Ohio becoming and remaining a shoemaker by trade. Married twice, he was the father of eight (8) known children all from his first wife Rebecca Klopp Lape 1840-1882 that he married 1858 in Berks County, PA. When John died in 1912, he was was survived by his 2nd wife, Susan J. Speelman Lape 1844-1930 whom he married Apr 19, 1896 in Stark County, OH, and by his eight (8) children.
