- Dorothy F. Jodon, 95, of Belleville, formerly of Pleasant Gap, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Valley View Retirement Community, in Belleville. A daughter of the late William Andrew and Margaret (Struble) Fishburn, she was born Nov. 18, 1917 in Bellefonte. She was married to Norman S. Jodon, who preceded her in death in 2007. Dorothy was a graduate of Bellefonte High School, class of 1936. She had worked at Schreffler's Store in Bellefonte and had also worked for Spring Township as a clerk. She was a life member of St. John United Church of Christ in Bellefonte, a past member of Eastern Star and past member of the Crystal Spring Rebekah Lodge #26. Dorothy is survived by her children, Patty Gallagher, of Lewistown and John (Madeline) Jodon, of Mississippi; three grandchildren, Patrick (Brenda), of Mifflintown, Tabitha (Steve), of Bellefonte and Scott (Lindsay), of Pittsburgh; along with four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and William; two sisters, Pearl Sweeny and Mildred Beezer; and one brother, John Henry Fishburn. A public visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at St. John United Church of Christ, 145 W. Linn St., Bellefonte, PA. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m., at the Church, with Pastor Anne Smith officiating. Burial will be private and at convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley View Retirement Community, 4702 E. Main St., Belleville, PA 17004. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service Inc., Bellefonte.
