  DEATH OF A WELL KNOWN CITIZEN. Jacob Conrad, for sixteen years Seward of the Almshouse, and well known throughout the county, died at his residence at the Packer- ack Hotel last evening. He had been in ill health for about a year past, being afflicted with dropsy, though it is supposed that the immediate cause of his death was apoplexy, He was almost 57 years of age.
