  The National Intelligencer, Saturday, October 5, 1844 On Thursday, at eleven o'clock a.m., Mrs. Mary Ingle, relict of Mr. Henry Ingle, in the 79th year of her age. This excellent and beloved "mother in Israel" was sick but a few days. Death did not, however, find her unprepared. She had long since "set her house in order," and just after prayer by a dear Christian friend from a distance, her dying bed surrounded by her children and her children's children, she peacefully closed a long and well-spent life, in the full confidence of a glorious immortality, leaving a bright example of Christian character for their imitation, and the recollection of her many virtues, that will long be cherished. Her funeral will take place from the residence of her son, John P. Ingle, this day, (Saturday,) at eleven o'clock a.m., to which the friends of the family are invited.
