Rehrersburg, Feb. 20--Mary A., widow of Philip Peiffer, died of gangrene at the home of her son-in-law, Aaron Peiffer, at Wintersville, two miles south of this place, aged 76 years and 6 days. She was a daughter of the late Isaac and Mary (Moyer) Stoudt and was born and reared in Tulpehocken township. The deceased was a member of the Reformed congregation of St. John's Union Church, Host. Her son-in-law, Aaron Peiffer, is also her stepson, the latter's father having been married before. The following survive: Children, Fianna, wife of Aaron Peiffer, and Mary, wife of Oscar Stoltz, both of Wintersville; Robert, Lebanon; brothers, George, Shartlesville; Frank, of town; sisters, Amelia, wife of Adam Dieffenderfer, West Reading; Emma, Annville, Lebanon County; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Saturday, Feb. 24, at 9:30 a.m., from the home of her son-in-law, Aaron Peiffer. Further services in St. John's Union Church, Host. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Edwin S. Leinbach, of Womelsdorf, will officiate. Funeral Director Charles E. Schucker, of town, has charge.
