Jeremiah married 20 Sep 1847, Annville, Lebanon, Pa to Rebecca Buchter. The moved to Ashland Co Oh about 1853 and then to Dickinson Co, Ks abt 1882. Children were Harrietta, Mary Ann, Caroline, Kathryn, John, Hedy Ann, Emanuel, Matilda, William, Seth, Elizabeth, Daniel. They were Brethern in Christ.

I Jeremiah W Sheaffer of Navarre, Dickinson County. State Of Kansas , farmer, make this my last will.
I give demise and bequeath my estate and property , real and personal, as follows, that is to say
To my wife Rebecca Sheaffer south east quarter(1/4) of section thirty four(34) Town Fourteen (14) south range three (3) east of the
apperterences there unto belonging, during her fife time, also once cow, one horse, harness & buggy two pigs.
To my daughter Mary Morr, (formerly Sheaffer) Two Hundred Dollars ($200) & to her heirs.
To my daughter Harriet Caskey (formerly Sheaffer ) One hundred Fifty Five Dollars ($155) & her heirs.
To my daughter Caroline Burns (formerly Sheaffer) Two hundred Dollars ($200) & her heirs.
My son John B Sheaffer has had his Two Hundred Dollars ($200) the receipt for which is hereby attached.
To my daughter Catharine Leiter (formerly Sheaffer) & her heirs. Eighty Seven 55/100 ($87.55)
To My son Emanuel Sheaffer, not having served me as he might I give nothing of this money.
To my daughter Matilda Ballor (formerly Sheaffer) and her heirs. Two Hundred Dollars ($200)
To My daughter Elizabeth Sheaffer (Minor) Two Hundred Dollars ($200)
To my son Daniel Sheaffer (minor) Two Hundred Dollars ($200)
The balance of my property both personal and real to be divided equally among all of the above named children
I hereby appoint Jesse Engles of Belle Springs, Dickinson County, of the State of Kansas as executor of this will. In Witness Thereof I have signed and sealed and published and declared this as my last will at Hope, Kansas. This 25th day of March A D 1887.

The State of Kansas
To All persons to whom those presents shall come, greeting know that the the last will and testament of Jeremiah W Sheaffer deceased, hath in due form of law been exhibited, proved, recorded in the office of the Probate Court of Dickinson County, a copy of which is hereto annexed and it appearing that Jessie Engle is named in said will as executor therof. But has refused to accept said trust. To the end therefore, that the property maybe preserved for for those who shall appear to have a legal right or interest in the same, and that the will may be executed according to the request of the testator, we do hereby appoint Eli Hoffman Administrator with the will annexed and authorize him as such administrator to collect and secure all and singular the goods chattels, rights, and credits which were of the said
Jeremiah W Sheaffer at the time of his death, in whosoever hands or possession the same may be found, and to perform and ful ful such duties as may be enjoined upon him by said last will, so far as there shall be property and in general to do and perform all other acts which are now or may hereafter be required of him by law.
In Testmony whereof I W P Seeds, Judge of the Probate Court in and for the County of Dickinson aforesaid, have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed the seal of said Court at office, this 11th day of Sept A D 1888.
