- Marian J. Sweigart, 91, formerly of Reinholds, entered into rest on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Denver Nursing Home, 4000 Lancaster Ave., Stevens, PA 17578. Her husband, Stephen C. Sweigart, passed away on October 24, 1996.
Born in Chadds Ford, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Anna (Leonard) Bonsall. She worked at Ephrata Apparel and was last employed by Keystone Nitewear, Reinholds. A member of Peace U.C.C., 37 E. Swartzville Rd., Denver, PA 17517 and the Reinholds Fire Co. Ladies Aux., Marian enjoyed baking pies and cakes and making Easter candy.
Surviving are her children, Stephen (Edith Sweigart) Sweigart, Ephrata, Kenneth (Barbara Peirce) Sweigart, Springfield, VA, Shirley (Kenneth) Ruth, Ephrata, Warren Sweigart, Denver, Larry (Agnes Brightbill) Gouglersville, Betty (Harold) Kauffman and Ronald (Mary Endler) Sweigart, both of Reinholds, and Judy Smith, Trout Run; 29 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ella Mae Petershein, Sinking Spring, June Hartman, Birdsboro, Patricia (Richard) Bowers, Stoney Creek, Sara Jane Schmeck, Hazel Lackatos and Doris (William) Layton, all of Reading; and brothers, Walter Bonsall, Reading, and Donald Bonsall, Fleetwood. Marian was predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters.
The Funeral will be on Tuesday at 10:00 AM, viewing 9-10 AM in the Roseboro Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver. Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Fritztown. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marian's memory may be made to her church or the Denver Nursing Home. (Lancaster Newspapers - 5/11/2008)
