- Shawn D. McCloy, 63, of Robesonia, Berks County, passed away Saturday at Penn State Health-St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading.
He was the husband of Marianne Hildreth McCloy, with whom he would have shared 43 years of marriage Thursday.
Born in Sinking Spring, he was a son of the late James D. and Mary Ellen Himmelberger McCloy.
He was an avid train collector and was a lifetime member of Train Association of America. He loved his animals, especially his cats and horses.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mason Ganter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Patrick S. McCloy, Norristown; a daughter, Marsha L., wife of Steve Ganter, Blandon; a brother, Kevin McCloy; two sisters, Kathleen, wife of Frank Stump, and Marianne, wife of Curt Blakenbiller; four grandchildren, Karlie and Payton McCloy, and Cole and Carys Ganter.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508, the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604, or to Glory Springs Farm, Attn: Wendy Adams, 699 Wooltown Road, Wernersville, PA 19565.
