  OBITUARY. MRS. R. B. LEWIS. The mournful tidings reaches us by telegraph, of the death of Mrs. Emily M. Lewis, widow of Richard B. Lewis, formerly of this city. Mrs. Lewis died on Friday evening, at the residence of her son in law, Mr. C. Fallon. She will be buried on Monday next, from the Church of St. Clements, Philadelphia. This intelligence is a sorrowful infliction on the many devoted friends of Mrs. Lewis here in Quincy, and her loss will be deplored by all who came within the influence of her tender sympathies. A devout church woman, she knew what was the true work and mission of the church. In this work, her heart never faltered, and her hands never failed. The many who have felt the blessed healing of her ministrations, will weep sympathetic tears, and pray for the repose of the soul of this saintly woman, now reunited with her husband in paradise. - The Quincy Daily Whig, Sunday, July 26, 1885; page 3.
