- Jane Marie Fallon (nee Brogan), 91, of Malvern, PA, on Christmas day, December 25, 2020. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Fallon whom she shared 42 years of marriage before his death in 2004. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Irene Brogan. Jane was a longtime resident of Malvern, PA and a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church. As a young woman, she worked for the U.S. Post Service in St. Davids and Wayne. She was active with the Chester County Democratic Committee until recently. She was the Registrar of Vital Statistics for the Commonwealth, which allowed her to work from home and raise her family.
Family was most important to her. She loved her children very deeply. She is survived by her children Patricia, Francis, Jr., Jane (Jon Harkins), Laura Beth and Christopher. Her beloved grandchildren Jessica, Monica, David, Kirstin, Theresa and Katie were her pride and joy. Jane is also survived by sisters Virginia Wheet and Loretta Maitre, and brothers William, George, and Thomas.
She was predeceased by her infant son Patrick Michael, brother Charles in 2015, sister Irene Christy in 2018 and her beloved dog, Big Girl in 2018.
We were blessed to have been able to share a lot of time with her. Her strong will and determination allowed her to live independently. She filled her days reading the newspaper, feeding the birds and other animals that would come to visit, watching her game shows, and tinkering around the house. Saturday mornings usually meant going to yard sales and thrift shops. She loved going to breakfast at a local diner where she enjoyed socializing with the staff. We spent many days on her back porch, talking and laughing. If you wanted to see mom light up, just show up with anything chocolate.
Due to current restrictions, a private service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 12:00 PM with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery immediately following.
