• Notes

  (Burial location unknown -- Muddy Creek was the ancestral church and very likely where his parents were buried.) The subject arrived at Philadelphia on board the St. Andrew in Sep. 1737 as a young child. He remarried very quickly after the deaths of his 1st and 2nd wives, generating at least 15 children of whom 14 were still alive as of his death in 1792, "to wit, George STEVEN, eldest son, Christian, Philip, Michael, Casper, Dorothea (who since died under age & without issue), Henry, Eve, Emanuel, Elizabeth, Ann, Mary Catharine, Christiana & Abraham" (from records of the Orphans Court).
