- Rev. John H. Shenk, 77, of 1136 Nowlen St., died on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his home. He was born on Monday, October 17, 1932, to the late H. Lester Shenk and Esther Shenk nee Degler in Lancaster. He was a veteran of the Navy in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired pastor from Hebron United Methodist Church. He was also serving on Developmental and Disability Service Board and Board of County of Lebanon Transit (COLT). Surviving are wife, Ruth N. Shenk nee Nichols of Lebanon; daughter, Donna J., spouse of Jon Dunlap of Lebanon; son, Richard A., spouse of Lynn Shenk of Maple Plain, Minn.; and grandchildren, Elsbeth Grossfield and Jonathan Shenk. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 1:15 to 2 p.m. at Hebron United Methodist Church, 5th Ave. and Walnut St., Lebanon. Memorial services will be on Saturday, May 22, at 2 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, on Friday May 21, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hebron United Methodist Church, 5th Ave. and E.
