  H.L. Feick Dies; Aged 43 North Berks Farmer Was Fire Chief In Shartlesville Shartlesville, April 20 -- Harrison L. Feick, 43, chief of the Shartlesville Fire Co. for the past 15 years and a huckster in Berks County for 24 years, died yesterday in Community General Hospital, Reading. Feick, who operated a farm in Shartlesville, was widely known through the county and the state because of his active interest in fire prevention and firemen's activities. In addition to being chief of the Shartlesville company, he was a member of these other companies and firemen's organizations: Keystone of Rehrersburg, Union of Bethel; Strausstown; Union of Hamburg; Keystone State Fire Chiefs' Assn.; Pennsylvania Fireman's Assn.; Berks County Fire Chiefs' Assn. and Berks County Firemen's Assn. Other Affiliations A member of the Lutheran denomination of Frieden's Church, Shartlesville, he also was a member of the Shartlesville Fish & Game Assn; Strausstown Rod & Gun Club, and the Bernville American Legion Home Assn. Surviving are his parents, John W. and Kate (Lesher) Feick, Shartlesville; his widow, Dorothy M. (Stengel) Feick; two sisters: Cora M., wife of Anson A. Wagner, Shartlesville, and Mary C., wife of George J. Rubright, Hamburg, and a brother, Lester L., Shartlesville. Services Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Schucker Funeral Home, Rehrersburg. Further services in Frieden's Church, the Rev. Ernest A. F. Kallenbach and the Rev. Dr. Frank W. Ruth officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery. Reading Eagle, 20 Apr 1954
