  wife Mary Polly Treat; son of Johannes MOHR and Elizabeth Blackwell(Bleckweiss). He served in War of 1812 from 9/1/1814-12/4/1814 in Capt. Jacob Marshall's company, in the First regiment, Second brigade, Pennsylvania militia, under the command of Col. Jeremiah Shappell. 1790 year of birth is questionable. In 1850 Census, he gave his age as 55; in 1860 Census, as age 64. However his Vet Burial Card shows year of birth as 6/4/1790. It is noted that his sister Catharine was born 1/6/1790. I have not been able to find a church baptism for him in Robeson Twp or Berks County churches. Death notice in Reading Times, Thurs., 12/14/1871: MOORE - In this city on the 13th, John Moore in his 80th year of his age. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral from his late residence, No. 1032 Cotton st., on saturday morning at 10:00 am., to proceed to St John's Church, Robeson twp.
