- Sheldon Dickinson, who little is known, married Johanna Schilling, died after having a long summer with a stomach ailment. Buried Tipton Masonic Cemetery, IA.

Sheldon Dickinson died last Friday morning at
his farm southeast of Tipton. He had been
suffering from ulceration of the stomach for
several months and this finally terminated in
his death. Early last month he showed marked
improvement and it was believed had conquered the disease. He went on a trip to visit
relatives in Dakota and was taken down again
shortly after his return.
Sheldon Dickinson, the eldest son of Mr. and
Mrs. James Dickinson, was born near Tipton, in
Cedar county, Iowa, on March 25, 1869. He
was married on February 21st, 1894 to Miss
Hannah Shilling. To this union, five children
were born, Howard, Lloyd, Irwin, Herbert and
Hilbert. He leaves to mourn his loss beside his
parents, two brothers, John and James, of
Carlyle, Wyoming; five sisters, Mrs. C. C.
Gay, of Onnan, S.Dak; Mrs. Millie Didenour
and Mrs. Jacobs of Ellis, S. Dak; Mrs. Mary
Ridenour of Los Angeles, California; and
Mrs. O.Wilkinson, of Cedar county, and
a numerous host of friends and neighbors.
He joined the M. E. church on March 15, 1896
and remained a loyal and consistent member
to the end. At the time of his death, he was
a member of the South Bethel church. He was
also a member of the Woodmen, being a member of Camp 6341 at White Pigeon.
The funeral services were conducted at the
home of the deceased on Sunday afternoon
by Rev. Carl F. Becker, a ver large number of
friends being present. His father and mother
and one sister, Mrs. O. A. Wilkinson, were
with him during his last illness. One other
sister, Mrs. Millie Ridenour, arrived from
South Dakota for the funeral.
Interment was made at the Masonic cemetery
at Tipton.
