- CAMDENTON, Mo. — Maurice A. Martin, 88, of Camdenton, Mo., formerly of Moscow, Iowa, died on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Mo.
Interment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, Iowa.
Serving as casketbearers will be Mark Heinrich, Aaron Heinrich, Matthew Martin, Dan Tyler, Brian Walters, Eric Huntsman and James Meehan.
Memorial donations may be made to Friends of South Bethel Church in his memory.

He was born March 7, 1921, to James and Gladys (Sterett) Martin in Atalissa, Iowa.
He married Marjorie L. Dickinson on May 18, 1943, at the Burr Oak Grove Family Farm in Cedar County.
He graduated from Atalissa High School.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He farmed until 1966 in Cedar County. He then founded, owned and operated The Cove Restaurant in Moscow, with his sister and brother-in-law, Les and Elaine Bland, and his cousins, Richard and Barbara Sterett. He retired in 1978 and moved to Camdenton.
He was a member of the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 24 AF & AM, Rochester, Iowa, where he was a former Master. He was baptized and came to know the Lord at South Bethel United Methodist Church in rural Tipton, where he was a member from 1946 to 1986. He then joined the Camdenton United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Ross Martin, and a sister, Yvonne Martin.
