  Funeral services for Earl R. Stryker, 93, of Ida Grove, were at 1:30 p.m., Saturday in the Christensen Funeral Home in Ida Grove. He died Wednesday, Jan 11, 1984, at his home in Ida Grove. The Rev. Jack Speer officiated, with burial in the Ida Grove Cemetery. Mr. Stryker was born Oct. 30, 1890, to Harry and Winifred Stryker at Tipton in Cedar county. He came to Arthur with his family on March 1, 1895, and lived on a farm four miles north of Arthur. In 1911, the family moved to Arthur. He married Janet M. Atchison on Dec. 20, 1911, at Clear Lake. They farmed in the Arthur and Ida Grove area from 1912 to 1960 when they retired and moved to Ida Grove. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the IOOF Lodge and a charter member of the Silver Creed Community Club, which began in 1916. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, who died Nov. 15, 1974, his parents, and a brother, Frank. Ida Grove Pioneer Record: January 19, 1984
