- Son of Jeremiah and Melinda Wenrich Moyer, both born in Berks Co, PA, he married Amelia Klopp, was a retired YMCA secretary, lived at 1007 Elk St, Franklin, died there of coronary occlusion due to hypertensive heart disease, per death certificate 63053, whose informant was Roy M. Fund (?) of Franklin RD 3. Buried Jul 29 1946.

E. D. Moyer, 77, of 100 Elk st., died early Saturday morning at his home. He was apparently in his usual health until a short time before he died, following the usual routine of his daily life, visited the city's business district Friday evening. He was born Sept. 24, 1869 in North Heidelberg, Berks county, on a farm near Robesonia, the son of Jeremiah E. and Melinda Wenrich Moyer.
He received his education in Kutztown Norman school, Reading Commercial college, and the YMCA college at Springfield, MA, from which he graduated in 1893. He was a teacher in a country school, later taught in the Reading Commercial college, was YMCA secretary at Steelton from 1893 to 1897, went to Easton where he was secretary in Bradford until 1920, came to Franklin and served as secretary at the local Y until his retirement in 1932. As member of the Grace Lutheran church, he was active in Pittsburgh Synod and Brotherhood work, was active in Venango County Sunday School association, taught Sunday school and supplied the pulpits of churches in surrounding communities.
On Sept. 14, 1896, he married Amelia Minnich Klopp who survives, with two daughters, Mrs. Roy C. Sanford, Franklin RD 3, and Ruth K. Moyer, at home; three brothers, R. E. Moyer of Chester, O. C. Moyer of Reading, MA, and H. C. Moyer of Stamford, CT; and a sister, Mrs. Irwin Roth of West Lawn, PA.
