- Anne Louise Enck Fassnacht, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2016. Born in Denver, Pa. on September 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late F. Earl Enck and Dorothy Miller Enck. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Fassnacht, a brother, Kenneth Earl Enck and a son, Clifford Glenn Fassnacht.
Anne loved her family, loved working in her yard and enjoyed photography. She has left behind beautiful memories of family and friends through the pictures that will be cherished for many years. A photo album was compiled for each of her sons, daughters-in-law and each grandchild.
Anne was a graduate of Cocalico Union High School, Denver, Pa. She married her high school sweetheart in 1957 and followed him to Manheim, Pa., Towanda, Pa., Cincinnati, Oh., and on to Spring Hope, NC. She was employed as a secretary in each of these areas. Ken and Anne built their home and lived in Spring Hope for 38 years. She retired after working for Nash/Rocky Mount school system at Nash Central Jr. High in Nashville, NC. When Ken passed in December of 2009, Anne moved to Nashville, NC to be closer to family and friends. She enjoyed Bible Study Fellowship for seven years and being active in the Women on Mission Group at Rock Creek Baptist Church. She played piano for her own enjoyment and kept up with friends and family by Facebook and e-mail. After their first grandchild was born, she was known as Mama Anne by family, friends and some co-workers.
She is survived by her three sons, Robin Fassnacht and wife Linda, of Elizabethtown, NC, Scott Fassnacht of Columbia, NC, Bill Fassnacht and wife Donna of Bailey, NC; seven grandchildren, Nick Fassnacht and wife Alyssa, Bridget Fassnacht, Travis Fassnacht, Josh Fassnacht and wife Holly, Jessica Fassnacht, Brooke Fassnacht, Lauren Fassnacht; six great grandchildren Hoytt Register, Rex Register, Kylie Fassnacht, Peyson Fassnacht, Boone Fassnacht, Scotlyn Fassnacht; sister, Christine Tarkovich and husband Mike of Huntersville, NC; brother Dale S. Enck and wife Joyce of Denver, Pa., and Ronald E. Enck and wife Ann of Ephrata, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Sahm and husband Ronald of Denver, Pa., and Kay Fassnacht of Stevens, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Rock Creek Baptist Church, 1238 Rock Creek Dr., Nashville, NC with Rev. David Pope officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock Creek Baptist Church, 1238 Rock Creek Dr., Nashville, NC 27856. The family would like to thank Autumn Care, family and friends, and the Masonic Lodge.
