Harold was born November 3, 1935 in Logan, Iowa to Roy and Nettie (Kellogg) Dickinson. Harold graduated from Logan High School. He served his country in the Army for three years. Harold married Avis Marie Hodges in 1959 at the Christian Church in Logan, Iowa. Harold loved horses and endurance racing with horses.
