  Georg Jacob Ulrich was baptized on 3 August 1727 in Oberhochstadt, Palatinate (presently a district of Hochstadt, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany), a son of Johann Jacob Ulrich and Maria Dorothea Kuhn. He was known by his middle name, "Jacob". He was confirmed on 25 March 1742 in Oberhochstadt, Palatinate [Germany]. A peasant farmer and citizen of Oberhochstadt, he was released from serfdom on 15 January 1751. Together with his future wife and her family, he arrived in Philadelphia on the ship Queen of Denmark, where he where he signed the declaration of oath on 4 October 1751. On 16 October 1753, he married Maria Elisabeth Wolff at Host Church in Tulpehocken, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Father of nine children. In 1786, he owned 250 acres of land in Pine Grove, Berks County (present-day Schuylkill County), Pennsylvania. Georg Jacob Ulrich dated his will on 2 October 1786.
