- Lee A. Foreman son of Henry and Cindrella Foreman, passed away at his parents home on the Brown farm on the DeGraff pike, 3 miles NW of West Liberty, Ohio on Saturday morning, March 2, 1912 at 4 o'clock aged 25 years, 10 months and 13 days.
He was born near Santa Fe, Logan County, Ohio on April 19, 1886, and his entire life was spent in this county. In October 1910, he was united in marriage to Miss Carrie B. Smith, daughter of James Worthington and Olive Smith of Union Township, and they resided in Zanesfield, where he was engaged in the livery business, until the death of his wife, on 20th January 1912, following the birth of a child which did not survive.
Shortly after the death of his wife, Lee went to Mt Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where he was operated upon for tubercular trouble, but did not gain the relief anticipated, and was brought to the home of his parents on Sunday evening February 18th. He rapidly grew weaker until the end came at the above hour.
He became a member of the Friends Church at Goshen in 1906, and ever afterward endeavored to live a true Christian life. He leaves to mourn his death his parents, three sisters: Mrs Edna Phelps of Lima, Ohio, Misses Nettie and Pauline Foreman, besides other relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral services were held at the M E Chuch in West Liberty, Ohio, on Monday at eleven o'clock, conducted by Rev F.G. Markley, of Radnor, Ohio, formerly of Zanesfield. Interment was made in Fair View Cemetery.
