Neil D. Garard -- Mr. Garard was born in Los Angeles, California on October 24, 1942; he died November 16, 1995 in Harbor City, California, at the age of 53. Mr. Garard worked as an accountant for approximately 29 years. He lived in Rancho Palos Verdes for 21 years and in the County of Los Angeles all of his life. Mr. Garard was a graduate of the California State Uiversity at Long Beach, School of Business, where he graduated in 1966. Through his accounting career he worked at several newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, and the Pasadena Star News. Mr. Garard is survived by his wife, Carol, of Rancho Palos Verdes; a son, Mark; and a daughter, Kris. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Marianne Orr of Westlake Village, and Carol Binggeli of Culver City. Memorial Service will be held at 1pm Saturday, November 18, 1995 at Green Hills Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be private in Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the San Pedro YMCA Campership Fund, 301 S Bandini Street, San Pedro, California.
