- Elizabeth J. Jamison, 86, of West Wyomissing, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the Reading Hospital.
Betty was the widow of Robert S. Jamison, with whom she celebrated 33 years of happy married life. She was born on May 17, 1929, the daughter of the late and John H. and the late Maude E. (Dickenson) Marquet, of Birdsboro.
Betty was a graduate of Birdsboro High School and the McCann School of Business.
She was employed for many years at Penn Square Mutual.
She is survived by her brother, John D. Marquet, of Spring Twp. Also a daughter-in-law, Charlene E. Jamison, widow of Robert A. Jamison, Sinking Spring; a granddaughter, Kathleen D., wife of J. Douglas Reese, Annville; a grandson, Robert C. Jamison, husband of Lori, Sinking Spring; and four great-grandchildren: Lauren, Taylor, Ian and Jamie.
She is also survived by nieces, Kathy, wife of William Sandt, Spring Twp., and Jeanne, wife of Robert Millard, Ephrata. Also a great-niece, Hannah, a great-great-niece and a great-great-nephew.
Betty was an avid reader of classic books, loved her dogs, family and close friends through the years. She was a quiet observer of the world around her. Timid, but strong, she would be firm in her opinions of life.
A time for friends and family to visit will be at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22nd, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville, followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 a.m., with Dr. David Knotts officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
