- Mary married John Humphreys on 21 Dec 1775 according to Concord MM in, then, Chester Co, PA. Concord is now is Delaware Co, PA. Delaware Co. was established on 26 Sep 1789. They had 7 children: Susannah, Mary, Elizabeth, Solomon, John, Daniel (died as a child 13y), and Hatton (m. lived only 12 days).

Concord Monthly Meeting
Whereas John Humphreys (Son of Solomon Humphreys & Mary his Wife, both Deceased) of Darby in the County of Chester in the Province of Pennsylvania, and Mary Hatton daughter of John Hatton and Elizabeth his Wife to of Concord in the County and Province aforesaid, deceased, having declared their Intentions of Marriage with each other before several monthly meetings of the people Called Quakers at Concord, aforesaid, according to the good order used are amongst them, and having consent of Parties and Relations concerned their said proposal of Marriage was allowed of by the said meeting. Now these are to certifie [sic]whom it may concern, that for the full accomplishing their said Intentions this twenty first day of the twelfth month in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and seventy five, they M__ said John Humphreys and Mary Hatton appeared in a Publick Meeting of the said People at Darby, aforesaid, and the said John Humphreys taking the said Mary Hatton by the Hand did in Solemn Manner Openly declare that he took her the said Mary Hatton to be his Wife, promising (with the Lords assistance) to be unto her a Loving and faithfull [sic] Husband untill Death should seperate [sic] the, And then and there in the same Assembly the said Mary Hatton did in like manner Did that She took the said John Humphreys to be her Husband promising (with the Lords assistance) to be unto him a Loving and Faithfull [sic] wife, untill Death should seperate them. And moreover they the said John Humpreys and Mary Hatton (She according to the custom of Marriage assuming the Name of her Husband) as a further confirmation the did then and there to these present set their Hands.
And we whose names are hereunder after subscribed being present at the Solemnization of the said marriage and seal scripting have been witnesses thereunto, set Our Hands the day and y__? Above written.
