  Daughter of Revolutionary Soldier Michael Awalt, and Eva Speck Awalt. Elizabeth moved to Franklin Co., TN with her parents in about 1820. She soon met John Bean, son of Walter and Elizabeth McGalliard Bean. John moved with his parents in 1825 to Gallatin Co., IL but soon returned and married Elizabeth abt 1829 in Franklin Co., TN. Their first six children were born in Franklin Co., TN and their last two in Johnson Co., AR. The actual death and burial spot for Elizabeth Awalt Bean is not know. However, it is believed she died in Jefferson Co., IL abt 1869. A number of years ago family members erected a memorial marker next to her husband, John Bean, at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Johnson Co., AR. The hand written entries from the Evangelical Lutheran Pastor of St. Johns Church on Buffalo Creek, Pastor Adam Nicolaus Marcard, documented the baptism of Elizabeth Awalt as follows: Infant Elizabeth, born Oct 8, 1799 baptized Nov 24, 1799 Parents Michael Ewald, wife Eva Sponsors George Ritschi, wife Elizabeth
