January 21, 1934 - October 12, 2012
Edna was born to Charles and Emma Hackman near Ephrata, Pennsylvania on January 21, 1934. She enjoyed her early years there with her brothers, Robert, Lloyd, Charles, Chester, and James. Early in her life, Edna accepted The Lord as her Savior.
Edna was united in marriage to Kenneth Stamy on May 21, 1955. They made their first home in La Puente, California. Later they resided in Whittier, California. In 1969, Kenneth and Edna and their children, Elaine, Sarah, and Robert relocated to Modesto, California.
Edna peacefully passed from this life to eternity early in the morning of Friday, October 12, 2012. Edna was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Ethel Hackman, and her five brothers. Also preceding her were her father and mother-in-law, Daniel and Lena Stamy, and three brothers-in-law, Leslie Rinehart, Hubert Stamy, and John Rumble.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Kenneth Stamy; children, Elaine and Jeffery Grover, Sarah and Ross Thompson, and Robert and Lori Stamy; grandchildren, Sarah Grover, Rachel and Nathan Clopton, Emma Grover, Kelly and Matthew Ferrini, Jennifer Thompson, Daniel, Caroline, and Elaine Stamy; great-granddaughter, Reagan Clopton; in-laws, Kathryn Hackman, Elaine Hackman, Erma Rinehart, Lois Rumble, Naomi Stamy, and Ray and Mary Ann Schaurer.
We know that our loss is her gain.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 6pm-8pm at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto, California. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 10am also at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
