  Jo Corriston, age 95, was a beautiful loving mother, wife and daughter who passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27th. Jo was born May 28, 1924, to Joseph and Thelma Burks in Denver, Colorado. The family moved to Oakland, California, two years after her birth. Jo lived in California until she met Roy William Corriston, a sailor, in 1944. They were married March 10, 1945, and moved to Kansas City, Kansas, in 1946 after the birth of their daughter. Roy and Jo had four children Mary, Janis, William and Mark. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Thelma Burks; her husband, Roy William Corriston; her sister, Martha Muir, and her brother Bruce Burks. She was survived by her four children; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Ungaro and Shanti Haydon; and sisters in-law, Arlene Bruner and Dawn Burks; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
