- Ardelle Staudt (90), of Robesonia, died at home on Friday, March 24, 2023, surrounded by her family. Her husband, Bryan H. Staudt died November 8, 2008. They were married 55 years.
Born in Reading, on February 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late George D. Wenrich and Neta L. (Geisler) Wenrich.
In lieu of college, she chose correspondence courses with the Institute of Children's Literature, Reading, Connecticut. As a helpmate with her husband at Penn State University, she became president of the Ag Ed Wives Society (PHT). When relocating in this area, she was Office Manager for 15 years for her father, George D. Wenrich, Inc. and her son, KIS Construction. In the child-rearing years, she held many positions in church organizations, Scouts, and various family related clubs.
Family was her accolade in life. Surviving are 3 sons, Kim B. Staudt, husband of Maureen (Soper) Staudt, Souderton; Kerry L., Staudt, husband of Debra (Dreibelbis) Staudt, Womelsdorf; Kevin K. Staudt, husband of Angela (DelMarcelle) Staudt, Robesonia; and one daughter, Kori L. (Staudt) Mattia, wife of Chester T. Mattia, West Caldwell, N.J. Also surviving are 9 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Merlin M. and Roy F. Wenrich and a brother and sister (twins) who died at birth. It was also her pleasure to have many nieces, nephews and friends come through her door.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, until the time of services at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. John's Hain's Church Cemetery.
